Oniqua wins at QLD Export Awards

Brisbane, Australia - October 22, 2009. The Premier of Queensland, Anna Bligh, last night presented two prestigious QLD Export Awards to Andy Hill, CEO and Chris Wright, Executive Vice President – Solutions of Oniqua. Oniqua took the honours in winning the Information and Communication Technology Award and the Dermot McManus Award for Innovation. The company was the only organisation to be nominated in three categories, also being a finalist in the Small to Medium Business category.

Andy Hill, CEO, stated, “This is a tremendous honour and exciting recognition for our team and the outstanding work they do. The Export Awards means a great deal to us, as 80% of our revenue comes from export.”

The Awards are acknowledgement and a follow on from a highly successful year that saw Oniqua, a developer of Asset Performance Management (APM) software solutions for asset-intensive industries, sign global deals with BHP Billiton, Newmont Mining and Conoco Phillips, along with several other key international clients such as Vale Mining in Brazil.

Oniqua’s software solutions now manage over $5 Billion of inventory in corporations across the globe and at over 190 sites. The applications provide the unique capability to perform end-to-end analysis across inventory, procurement, maintenance and reliability for system-wide improvements. It can provide granular detailed data for precision measurements, as well as monitoring and analytical capabilities to improve asset and business performance.

“The aid from government organisations such as Austrade and Trade Queensland has helped us gain market awareness and new prospects, and has provided us with the opportunity to attend key international trade events,” said Andy Hill. “We are experiencing exciting developments and growth and look forward to continued success in 2010 and beyond.”
